Installation on popular platforms like Windows XP/2000, OS X, or Linux is a breeze. With respect to annotation capabilities, there is no reason to prefer one platform over another. However, be aware that since we utilize the Java Media Framework to play audio and video, you will have varying success with displaying media on different platforms because of platform-specific format support. Windows supports the widest range of audio and video formats, though media in the right format can be viewed on all of the platforms listed below.
